How to Apply Tulle to a Gazebo for a Wedding

Tulle is a sheer fabric that is popular in wedding attire and in wedding decorations. It can be bought in traditional fabric bolts or on large rolls and is used to decorate a variety of venues, such as pews and altars inside churches, the tables and chairs at wedding receptions, and gazebos for outdoor weddings. An inexpensive decorating option, tulle can greatly enhance the appearance of an area with little effort on the part of the decorator.

Instructions

Incorporate tulle around the base of the gazebo by draping it along the banister. Attach the fabric to the banister at the base of each column by wrapping flexible wire around the column or banister and twining it through the fabric.

Tie ribbon around the banister or columns where the tulle is attached or anywhere else that the wire shows. Flowers can also be used to cover the wires or to add a decorative touch to the tulle.

Wrap tulle around the columns and railings of the gazebo. The ends of the fabric can be held in place by tacks or small nails on the inside of the gazebo.

Loop tulle over the rafters of the gazebo. Allow the tulle to hang down in loops and the ends of the tulle to hang as well in a vinelike fashion.

Drape tulle over the entire gazebo and let the fabric hang down to the ground on all sides to completely enclose the structure. Create an opening in the tulle by cutting a slit up the middle of the fabric in front of the gazebo's entrance. Pull the sides back, and tie them with ribbon or hold them back with metal clips.
