Instructions for Setting Up Portable Gazebos

Portable gazebos are good for a number of outdoor actives, from parties in the park to keeping cool in the backyard. Since the gazebos are portable, you can take them with you to set up in different outdoor locations and take them down when you leave. Plus, they provide much needed protection from the sun during the hot months of summer. Portable gazebos are generally set up in a similar way and come with the hardware needed.

Instructions

Lay out the pieces of the portable gazebo and separate the canvas cover from the legs and other hardware.

Connect the legs of the gazebo. The legs might be in two pieces that have to fit together. Make each leg the same length, usually about 10 feet tall, and secure them to each other with the hardware provided.

Build the roof of the gazebo. Place the side rods together into a square and connect them to each other with the hardware. Place the roof rods into each corner of the rods and connect them with the provided hardware. Connect the roof rods in the middle with the pointed roof piece. It should have four holes, one for each rod. Slip the rods into the roof piece.

Stand up the legs of the gazebo and place the roof on top. Use the hardware provided to connect the roof to the top of the legs. Each leg should be at the corner of the roof.

Drape the canvas cover over the gazebo and align it properly so it sits flat. Tie the rope to the rings on the gazebo's legs and tie the other side of the rope to the stakes. Hammer the stakes into the ground to secure the gazebo.
