How to Hang a Battery Operated Light

The beauty of a battery operated light is that you don't need to worry about the availability of an electrical outlet or hire an electrician to add wiring and a lamp. Battery operated lights are an excellent choice for closets or pantries. Hanging a battery operated light is a quick fix for dark corners and deep storage areas.

Instructions

Locate a solid wall in the area you want to hang your battery operated light.

Check to see what size batteries your light requires.

Insert batteries and a light bulb into the battery operated light.

Where you position the light will determine how far the beam travels.

Hold the battery operated light in place, and turn it on to be sure the spot you chose is the best for light penetration.

Drilling pilot holes make it easier to insert screws.

Drill pilot holes, holding the light in place, where the mounting screws need to go.

Be sure the screws hold the light securely.

Screw the mounting screws into the wall, securing the light in place.

Write a note to your family reminding them to turn off the light or the batteries will run out.
