Instructions for an 8-by-8 Canopy Gazebo

An 8-by-8 canopy gazebo has four legs with a roof frame on top and a canopy covering the framework. Gazebos provide shelter from rain and sun for backyard parties and barbecues to keep family members and guests dry and cool. One large rectangular, or two small square tables and chairs fit under this size gazebo for a gathering or a meal outside. Assembling the roof and canopy first and installing the legs last removes the need for a ladder to erect the gazebo.

Instructions

Lay the poles out on the ground with spaces between each to form an outer frame that is 8-feet square. Lay the center poles on the ground in the middle of the frame from front to back.

Slide a two-way connector between the two center poles and press the poles into it. Place a three-way connector on the end of each center pole so the bottom of the "T" shape is on the center pole. Push a three-way connector on each end of the front and rear poles.

Slide the two front poles into each end of the three-way connector on the center pole. Repeat this process to install the two rear poles on the frame. Slide a two-way connector between both poles on the right and left side of the frame. Push the left and right side poles into a three-way connector at each corner.

Place the canopy on top of the frame. Insert the stretchy end of a ball bungee through the canopy grommet on one corner. Wrap the stretchy end around the frame from the inside of the post to the outside and pull the end over the ball to secure it. Repeat this process to attach the canopy at the additional three corners and then all remaining grommets.

Lift up one corner of the frame and insert a leg into the three-way connector. Repeat this process to install the additional three legs.
