How to Decorate a Gazebo With Wedding Tulle

Decorate a gazebo with wedding tulle for a wedding reception, anniversary party or a romantic setting to pop that special question. This canopy built within a gazebo is centered around a child's hula hoop, yards and yards of wedding tulle and ivy garland. The amounts will depend on the size and shape of the gazebo you are decorating. Basic wedding tulle is approximately $1 a yard and a bolt of tulle can range from 54 to 108 inches wide by 25 to 50 yards long.

Instructions

Cut the chain into 4 pieces, each 6 feet long. Paint the hula hoop and the chain using the white spray paint. Allow the paint to dry.

Cut a 4-yard length of the wedding tulle. Unfold the whole width of the tulle. Bunch the width of the tulle together and wrap the 4 yards around the hula hoop, overlapping the ends. Cut a piece of floral wire and wrap around the tulle overlap to hold.

Insert a plant hook in the center of the gazebo ceiling. Set the hula hoop on a flat surface. Place 1 chain under the side of the hula hoop and bring the 2 ends up and together. This is the first hanging chain. Repeat with the other 3 chains, spaced evenly around the hula hoop. Bring all the ends together and place the chain ends on the plant hook in the center of the gazebo.

Tie an end of string to one edge of the hula hoop. Drape this string loosely to a top outer corner in the gazebo. Continue to drape the string loosely to the ground. Cut the string. Take the string down and measure the length. Cut 4 lengths of wedding tulle using this measurement.

Open the width of one length of tulle. Bunch the width of one end together and safety pin the end to one side of the hula hoop. Drape the tulle in the same way you did the string. Wire the tulle to the top corner of the gazebo. Allow the rest of the tulle to drape and pool loosely to the ground. Repeat on the other 3 corners of the gazebo.

Cut a 3-yard length of the wedding tulle ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the wire that attach the draped tulle to the corner of the gazebo. Tie into a bow.

Drape and wrap the ivy garland loosely around the hula hoop. Insert the white silk roses randomly into the ivy garland.
