The village of Cedarhurst is located in Nassau County, in the New York City metro area. Named for the Cedarhurst Company, which bought land here in 1887, it is described on its official website as a "homey, quaint and friendly village." During the summer the village of Cedarhurst along with its sponsors hosts Concerts Under the Gazebo. Held on Tuesday nights, the event features a pre-show and a concert from July to August. Depending on which night you attend, you may enjoy a performance from a swing band, an opera and acapella night. Sometimes, dancers and magicians also perform. You must provide your own seating during each event.

No more than five minutes from Cedarhurst, in Lawrence, New York, the Vintage Chevrolet Car Club of America presents the annual Fun Car Show. On its third year in 2011, the event has no classes or judges and features all kinds of vehicles regardless of make and model. See antique and classic cars, custom cars and hot rods and even trucks and motorcycles. A registration fee is charged but admission is free for spectators.

The park charges an entrance fee, which includes admission to the polo match that is hosted by the Meadowbrook Polo Club, the country's oldest polo club.
